A keyboard is an important tool for a typist; it’s important for anyone that types for a living to invest in the proper equipment, just like in any other profession. And so here is a list of budget-friendly mechanical keyboards that you can buy in 2024 – each one rated 4.5 stars out of 5 or more – that have withstood the test of time! The reviews speak for themselves.
The GK61
An excellent all-rounder – the gk61 is lauded as one of the best keyboards to be released in the last 10 years. It comes with a plethora of options, from color, pattern, and various other styles, down to the very keys themselves. I personally prefer the Gateron browns, but most people tend to go for the blues. This is mostly because they’re the most tactile and responsive. The browns are somewhere in between, but still a bit loud in my opinion.
The Razer Cynosa
Despite what some people have to say about Razer, they’re responsible for pumping out some of the best keyboards in the industry – and the Razer Cynosa is no exception. The reviews below alone should give you an idea of how great this keyboard is.
Anne Pro 2
The Anne Pro 2 is universally loved – from America to Europe, all the way to Asia, it’s one of the best TKL – that’s ten-key-less – keyboards in existence. It has both wired and wireless options, and the keys feel great, considering they’re crafted out of premium PBT plastics. Despite all the praise, it does have its cons – mainly related to the Bluetooth connection. I’ve personally never had any issues with it, but it is talked about.
Ducky One 2
Ducky keyboards, while a bit more expensive than the other products listed here, are some of the best in the market – originally from Asia, they’ve quickly become a number one hit in the west. You can typically find their products in all the larger retail stores – preferably the ones that price match.
Logitech G915 TKL
This is one of the best mechanical keyboards that you can buy on the market today, and there’s a reason for that ridiculously high price! Logitech has truly outdone themselves with this product – it boasts a solid aluminum frame, the custom Logitech keycaps feel great, and it’s impressively small form factor means you can bring it anywhere! I don’t even find myself missing any of the Windows keys thanks to the Logitech G-Hub software, which allows you to create your own, custom macros – fancy.
